1. How do I request a catering quote for my event?
    Please email us at [email protected] or use the contact form on our website. Please include any information you think will be useful such as date, venue, party size, service style and any particular staff or rental requirements.
  2. How far in advance before my event should I contact you?
    We typically require at least two weeks notice for smaller events (less than 50 guests) and at least 3 months notice for larger events such as galas and weddings.
  3. Is there a minimum or maximum party size you will cater?
    We do not have a minimum or maximum. We cater small intimate dinners as well as large weddings and everything in between.
  4. Are you insured?
    Yes, we carry $1,000,000 in insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance.
  5. Do you provide tastings?
    Yes, we provide tastings at our signature restaurant Saar Bistro in midtown Manhattan.
  6. Do you provide wine, beer and liquor?
    Yes. We are able to acquire a temporary liquor license for any venue and can provide a full bar and bartender services.

    We have a limited selection of table linens and utensils. We do not provide plates and silverware but are able to coordinate rentals for the same. We invoice rentals on actuals with no surcharge.
  9. Can I make my own menu or customize the menus offered?
    Yes. We work closely with every client to create a menu that reflects their vision and taste.
  10. How is the food served?
    We provide a variety of service styles including butler-passed appetizers, buffet, family- style and plated dinners.
  11. What do you require for set-up?
    The set-up depends on the venue and availability of kitchen equipment and space. However, we have catered events at a variety of venues including venues with no kitchens. We curate the menu and coordinate rentals accordingly.
  12. Can you accommodate special dietary needs and allergies?
    Yes. We have a wide variety of options that are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. All our meat is halal certified.
  13. Where can I find ingredients and nutrition information?
    We are able to provide this upon request based on the menu.
  14. How far will you travel outside of New York City?
    We have experience catering weddings and events nationwide as well as destination weddings internationally.
  15. How much do you charge for travel?
    Depends on the location and staff requirements.
  16. Do you provide delivery or drop-off services?
    Yes. We provide delivery / drop-off services in the tristate area in our temperature controlled vehicle.
  17. What are your prices?
    Our prices typically range from $35 per person for buffet style menus to $55 and above
    per person for family style and plated dinners. We also offer a wide variety of live
    cooking stations at various price points.
  18. What is included in your price?
    These are food prices only. Staff, delivery, service charge, rentals and taxes are additional.
  19. Do you offer discounts for children?
    Yes. Kids under age 12 receive 50% off the per person charge. Kids under age 5 are free of charge.
  20. Do you have a cake cutting fee?
    Yes. We charge $150 as cake cutting fee.
  21. How many servers will I need for my event?
    Depends on the service style, venue and menu.
  22. How do you charge for labor?
    We charge $30 per hour per staff for labor. Depending on the distance, we sometimes
    include travel time for the staff. Speciality staff such as tandoor operators and full service
    bartenders can be additional.
  23. In gratuity included in the bill?
    Yes. We include 20% gratuity.
  24. How do I pay the bill?
    We accept checks, cash and all major credit cards.
